Bio
Before joining Wichita State University as Assistant Professor, Dr. Soares worked as Cell Modeling Engineer at Freudenberg Battery Power Systems developing physics-based and equivalent circuits models, and performing experiments to validate and assess safety and thermal properties of lithium-ion cells. Dr. Soares research’s research interests include development, characterization, and modeling of high-performance two-dimensional materials as electrodes for batteries and supercapacitors, and the development of enhanced models for lithium-ion batteries.
