Bio

Ken Shaffer, Class of 2029 at Fort Hays State University, is pursuing a B.S. in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. His research focused on free-standing electrode supercapacitors, aiming to reduce reliance on critical materials while achieving higher energy density. His summer research was supported through the ARISE Kansas NSF EPSCoR program. When he’s not in the lab, Ken can be found skateboarding or playing video games.
