Bio
Preston is an undergraduate student at Wichita State University. He joined the Energy Systems Lab as an undergraduate research student to work on a project titled “Advancing the Detection of Lithium-Ion Battery Chemistries for Recycling and Second-Life Applications”. Through his work in the lab, he is the first author of a conference proceedings paper published at the 2026 IEEE Green Technologies Conference (GreenTech).
